Navigation in MyLook is accomplished primarily using the Folders structure. After you have added some applications and optionally registered them, you should have a similar view as in the next figure:

You are now ready to start using MyLook and/or one of it's applications which are all seamlessly integrated in the MyLook interface. At any time you can select and right click a folder to get the context sensitive pop up menu which list all of the actions you can use on the selected folder:

Following is a list of functionalities for the actions (NOTE: Some actions might not be available for all folders):
·Open - This is the default action for a folder and will open a window displaying this folder's contents. You can Open a folder using either the pop up menu, or by selecting the folder and pressing Ctrl+Enter on your keyboard or by pressing Alt+Left Click on the folder or by double clicking the folder (if it has no children folders, in which case the children will be shown). Once the window has opened you can also close it again by holding Alt+Shift and Left clicking the same folder or by pressing Ctrl+F4. If the window is already open but obscured or hidden by other windows, executing this action will make the Open window the active one and bring it to the front of all other windows. If you have multiple folders selected, MyLook will open them all.
·Properties - Is very similar to Open, but will normally opens a window which you can use to customize or change this folder's properties. You can either use the pop up menu, Alt+Enter, or Ctrl+Alt+Left Click to open the property window for this folder and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Left Click or Ctrl+F4 to close it again. If you have multiple folders selected, MyLook will open all their property windows.
·Actions - Some folders allows folder context actions. The Actions submenu gives you access to these actions.
·Refresh - This option can be used to refresh this folder and more specifically it's child folders. For example you may have executed an action which dynamically change a folder's children. Use refresh to get a refreshed list of child folders. Pressing Ctrl+F5 on any folder will result in a refresh as well. If you have multiple folders selected, MyLook will refresh them all.
·Create New - Some folders allow you to add child folders to them, for example new queries, tables, reports, databases, etc. Use this action to dynamically add a child folder to a specific parent. Just type in the new child's name and press enter.
·Rename - Some folders allow changing of their names. Press F2 or click in the folder's name or use the pop up menu to change it's name. Depending on the context and application to which the folder belongs you may be prompted for further confirmation before the name is actually changed.
·Help - This action wil bring up the closest context sensitive help on the specific folder.
·Delete - If a folder allows deletion, you can do so using the pop up menu or Ctrl+Del to delete the folder and all children from the Folders section. After picking this action you may be requested to confirm such a deletion as well as be informed of the consequences of the action. If you have multiple folders selected, MyLook will delete them all if it allowed.
·Copy to favourites - All folders allows you to copy a mylook-url (shortcut) to the folder into your favourites view where you may rearrange the folders and structures to your heart's content, ex. per project, per department, etc
·Copy folder - Some folders allow you to copy them (and/or their contents) to the clipboard. This functionality is application specific and depends on the type of folder and if such an operation is possible. If allowed, some folders will copy themselves to the clipboard in a standard text manner where you can then paste the folder contents again in an external program like notepad, while others might copy themselves to the clipboard as a MyLook Object which only MyLook can then paste again to another position (parent folder).
·Paste folder - Some folders allows you to paste (add childfolders/subfolders), thus if you copied a folder to the clipboard, you will be able to paste the contents to another folder, if this is allowed.
·Cut folder - Some folders (this is application specific and dependent on the context of the folder) allows you to both copy and delete the folder/folder in one action. Usually if you are not allowed to delete the folder, you will also not be able to Cut it. For Cut to be enabled, you must be able to both Copy and Delete such a folder. After you have cut the folder, it's contents will be in the clipboard and available to be pasted to another position.
·New module - This is the action which you use to add new root folders (i.e. applications/modules) to your Folder Section
·About MyLook - This action will display the application's version and registration information.

TIP: To make navigation and searching for a specific folder even easier, MyLook provides you with an incremental search function on your folders. Just start typing the name of the folder and MyLook will locate the folder matching your name within all visible folders.
