A report template is a complete and fully autonomous file capable of generating your report using it's configuration live at any time you wish. When you click Design you are presented with a full Report Designer, with capabilities allowing you to define your datasource(s) using a graphic query builder, allow you to save intelligent scripting as part of the report template, allows full designing of your report and includes a preview tab as well. You can easily create a new report using the built in wizards, see Create a Report. The Properties Tab shown above allows you to change the report's MySQL connection information or just view it. On the toolbar of a Report Template you will find a Schedule button, which you can click to automate a specific report's periodic generation using MyRun. Remember to supply your windows username and password to the resulting Task as well as a schedule, so the process can run autonomously.
